Salah (Namaz, Prayer) Translation

Note:
This Document is not for the Beginners
This Document is for the people who know how to Salah
First take wudu properly, after taking wudu and when you are facing the
Qibla standing to start the Salah
Make Niyaah (intention) which is fard (compulsory) in your mind and
heart (its optional to say niyyah verbally in your mouth)
For Example: In Fajr Salah
Say I pray two rakah Fard of Salat al-Fajr for Allah Tala (you can also add
facing Qibla, if it is Adha say Adha if it is Qala say Qala, If behind the
imam say behind the imam) (if it is Sunnah Salah say Sunnah)
Note:
You can make intention in your own language.
The Entire Salah should be in Arabic, As Arabic language has
more weightage compared to other languages as it is Allahs
words , but it is important to know the translation , so that you
will come to know what exactly you are saying while doing your
salah for understanding and concentration
To start the salah
One must pronounce Takbeerat-ul-Ihraam by saying Allahu Akbar
Translation: Allah is the Greatest
After Takbeerat-ul-Ihraam recite the opening Supplication
Supplication: Vajjahthu Vajhiya lillazee fathara ssamaavathi val Arlla
haneefan vamaa ana minal mushrikeen, Inna swalathi vanusukee
vamahyaaya vamamaathi lillahi rabbil aalameen Laa Shareeka lahu
vabizaalika umirthu va ana minal muslimeen
Translation: I have turned my face sincerely towards He who have
created the heavens and the Earth and I am not of those who associate
(others with Allah). Indeed my prayer, my sacrifice, my life and my
death are for Allah, Lord of the worlds, no partner has He, with this I
am commanded and I am of the Muslims

Note:
The opening supplication is not a must to recite, but it is good if you
recite.
There are various opening supplication that you can read, it is not
necessary that you should read vajjahthu supplication.
In the Entire Salah(Namaz) the most important is that you should
recite Surah al Fatihah
You may skip reciting anything except Surah al Fatihah. If you
skip Fatihah your salah wont be accepted.
After reading the Supplication, you should read Surah al Fatiaah
Auzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Translation : I seek refuge in Allah from the Accursed Satan
Bismillah Hir Rahmaanir Raheem
Translation : In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.
Alhamdu Lillahi Rabbil Aalameen
Translation: All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin
(mankind, jinns and all that exists).
Ar Rahmaanir Raheem
Translation: The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.
Maaliki Yaumiddeen
Translation: Master (the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Judgment. (i.e.
the Day of Resurrection)( qayamat)

Translation: To you (Alone) we worship, and To you (Alone) we ask for help
(for each and everything).
Ihdinas Sirathal Mustaqeem
Translation: Guide us to the Straight Path

Siratual Lazina An Amtaa Alaihim Ghairil Maghdubi Alaihim Walad

Dallin
Translation: The Path of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not
(the way) of those who earned Your Anger nor of those who went astray.
Meaning: (Guide us to the path of those who received a true blessing from
You. And protect us from following the misguided path of the ignorant
or those who earned your anger for intentionally disobeying you. )

Aameen [Accept our invocation]

After completing Fatiaah read any Surrah from Quran.

one Surah in 1st rakah and another Surah in 2nd rakah
At least know the translation of any two Surah

For Example:

Surah al Ikhlaas:
Bismillah Hir Rahmaanir Raheem
Translation: In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.
Qul huwal laahu ahad
Translation: Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;

Allah hus-samad
Translation : Allah, the Eternal, Absolute
(meaning: Allah , the Self-sufficient One.) (He helps and doesn't
need help. )

Lam yalid wa lam yoolad

Translation : He begets not, nor was He begotten;
(meaning :He does not give birth, nor was He born)

Wa lam yakul-lahu kufuwan ahad

Translation: There is nothing like Him.
(Meaning: And there is nothing comparable to Him.)

In 2nd rakah , you can read some other Surah

For Example:
Surah al-Asr

Bismillah Hir Rahmaanir Raheem

Translation: In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful

Wal' asr
Translation: By the time

Innal insaana lafee khusr

Translation: Verily! Man is in loss,

i llal lazeena aamanu wa 'amilus saali haati wa tawa saw bil haqqi wa
tawa saw bis sabr
Translation: Except those who believe(in islam), and do good deeds, and
encourage truth, and recommend patience

After reading the surah

Go to rukh and say (3 times)

Subhaana Rabbiyal Adeem

or

Subhaana Rabbiyal Adeem wa bihamdhi

Translation: Glory to Allah the Almighty (Exalted).

Then from rukh stand up and say

Sami Allahu Liman Hamidah

Translation : Allah listens to those who praise Him

Then you can say while standing

Rabbana lakal hamdu

Or
Rabbana wa lakal hamdu
Or
Allahumma Rabbana walakal hamdu

Translation: Oh Allah, all praise is to you

Then go to Sujood (prostration)

And say

Subhana Rabbi yal A'ala

Translation: Glory to Allah, the Most High

Note:
You can make dua in Sujood(prostration)

Saying dua while prostrating is the best of dua, because the

Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The
closest that any one of you may be to his Lord is when he is
prostrating, so say a lot of dua at that time.

After Sujood while sitting

Say
Rabbighfir li - Rabbighfir li
Translation :(Oh Allah, forgive me- oh Allah forgive me)
Or
Rabbighfirli or (allahum-magfir li) warhamni wajburni warfa'ni
warzuqni wahdini wa'afini wa'kfu 'anni.
Translation: O Allaah, forgive me, have mercy upon me, guide me, enrich me,
give me health, grant me sustenance and raise my rank.

Then continue the second Sujood and say the same thing what you said in 1st
Sujood
Then follow the same in 2nd rakah as you did in 1st rakah

In your final rakah while you are sitting you have to recite Thashahud

Athahiyyaatu lillaahi was-salawaatu wattayyibatu.

Assalamu alaikaayyuhan-nabiyu warahmatullaahi wabarka'tuhu.

Assalamu alaina wa'alaa'ibaadillaahis saa'liheen.
Ash'had'u alla ilaha illallahu
wa ash'hadu annaMuhammadan abd'uhu warasooluh.

Translation :
All compliments, all physical prayer, and act of worship are for
Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and Allahs mercy and
blessings. Peace be on us and on all righteous slaves of Allah. I
bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship except Allah.
I bear witness that Muhammad (peace be upon him ) is his
messenger and servant.

Allaahumma salli ala Muhammad wa ala aali Muhammad kama salayta ala
Ibraaheem wa ala aali Ibraaheem, innaka hameedun majeed. Allaahumma
baarika ala Muhammad wa ala aali Muhammad kama baarakta ala
Ibraaheem wa ala aali Ibraaheem, innaka hameedun majeed

Translation:
Oh Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the family of
Muhammad, as You sent prayers upon Ibrahim and the family
of Ibrahim, You are indeed Worthy of Praise, Full of Glory. O
Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You

blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim, You are indeed

Worthy of Praise, Full of Glory.

After this you can also add

Allaahum-maghfir lee maa qaddamtu, wa maa 'akhkhartu, wa maa 'asrartu,

wa maa 'a'lantu, wa maa 'asraftu, wa maa 'Anta 'a'lamu bihi minnee. 'Antal
Muqaddimu, wa 'Antal-Mu'akhkhiru laa 'ilaaha 'illaa 'Anta.
Allahumma inniauzu bika min azabil-qabri wa min azaabi nnar wa min
fitnatil-mahya wal mamati wa min fitnatil-masihid-Dajjal

Translation:
O' Allah! Forgive me for what I have done before and what I
have done afterwards, and whatever I did secretly and whatever
I did openly, and whatever you know more than I do. You are the
One who sends forth and you are the One who delays. There is
none worthy of worship but you.
O Allah, I seek refuge in you from the punishment of the grave,
and from the punishment of Hell-fire and from the trials of life
and death, and from the evil of the trial of dajjal the false Messiah

Then say Assaalaamu Alaykum wa-Rahmatul Laah by turning your head to

Right and to the left

Translation: Peace be upon you and Mercy of ALLAH
