Vandalia Lake
The Missouri Department of Conservation's Vandalia
Community Lake is located six miles east of Laddonia
on County Road 524.
The 44-acre lake features mainly woods and old
fields. Facilities and features include a boat ramps, improved camping, picnic areas, and a pavilion.
Activities at the lake include bird watching and
camping. Fishing enthusiasts can cast their lines in the
lake for bass, catfish, crappie, carp, bluegill, and redear
sunfish.
Hunting finds include deer (by archery only), quail,
rabbit, turkey, and waterfowl.

City Lake/Reservoir
The Reservoir is on a tributary of South Spencer
Creek in Pike County, Missouri and is used for drinking
water and some recreation use.
The property owned by the City of Vandalia was constructed in 1960 and covers a surface area of 35 acres.

According to some reports, the foundation is rock with
a height of 45' and length of 320'
No alcoholic beverages are allowed. The use of gasoline motors can not exceed 10 horsepower.
No one can swim in the lake or pond area, use firearms, hunt, leave boats overnight, among other rules.

kids ages 2-6, sunshade with a seat, mushroom where
water comes over the outside and provides a good place
to col off for kids, and a therapy bench.
The therapy bench is under sunshade with five jets
for use by senior patrons.
There are also three meter and one meter diving
boards, swim lanes, and a small deck slide for kids ages
5-12.
The bathhouse features warm showers. A concession stand is also available that serves a variety of food
items, candy, water, and ice cream.
