JUXTA POSITIONING
An act or instance of placing close together or side by
side, especially for comparison or contrast.

Juxta positioning is a literary technique in which two or


more ideas, place, characters and their actions are
placed side by side in a narrative or poem for the
purpose of developing comparisons and contracts.

If a waiter served you a whole fish and a scoop of


chocolate ice cream on the same plate, your surprise
might be caused by the juxtaposition, or the side-by-
side contrast, of the two foods.
