NC Community College Four-Year Pathway Plan
Schedule for Full-Time Students Pursuing AS Degree & transfer into Elementary Education at NCSU.
(Placed Out Of All Developmental Courses)
To be considered for admission into ELMENTARY EDUCATION at NCSU the minimum requirements are:
An Associates of Science degree (AS) or approximately 60 credit hours of transferrable college-level work
Eight (8) semester hours of college-level mathematics including the equivalent of NCSUs MA 121.
Two semesters of English Composition equivalent to NCSUs ENG 101
Eight (8) semester hour sequence of Science in Chemistry or Physics (in addition to BIO 111)
A 3.2 GPA or higher on all college level work attempted.
Preference will be given to students whose course work most closely aligns with credit hours identified in the 4-year
plan outlined below.
Note: To earn the Wake Tech Associate in Science degree, all students are required to complete all courses below.
North Carolina Community College classes are listed below in bold with the NC State degree requirements fulfilled listed next to
the classes. North Carolina State University strongly recommends students complete their Associate in Science degree prior to
transferring to NCSU.
