Fireshield Enhanced Fire Resistant Cable for Essential Systems:
   Where enhanced fire resistance has been specified e.g. high rise unsprinklered
     buildings with phased evacuation procedures, or where areas may continue to be
     occupied e.g. hospitals
   Where cable must meet the enhanced fire test BS 8434-2 as specified by BS5839
   Where circuit integrity must be maintained for extended periods in the event of a fire
   Where the use of halogen free materials is required to avoid dense smoke and
     corrosive gases
  "Enhanced" cables must pass BS8434-2 2003 to meet the fire test described by
  BS5839; cable is subjected to 60 minutes flame (950 degrees C) and mechanical shock
  then 60 minutes flame, shock and water.
  Extensive testing has shown in addition to enhanced fire resistance,
                                 with its overall screen and twisted pairs also has
  enhanced data capability making it first choice for systems with cutting edge technology
  in the fields of BMS, addressable and networked systems, CCTV and fire telephones.
