Chapter 2
METHODOLOGY
This chapter presents the method utilized by the researcher in conducting this study.
Research Design
These studies utilize descriptive method of research to determine the distribution
and utilization of alingaro in 4 th district of Laguna. The researcher will prepare an open-
ended question for determining the demographic profile of the respondents and their
distribution and utilization.
Subject of the Study
This study will involve the parent and children know about alingaro at 4 th district
of Laguna. Respondents under the upland area are the subject in the collection of data
about the distribution and utilization of alingaro.
Sampling Technique
The respondents of this study will choose using convenience sampling a type of
non-probability sampling in which people are sampled simply because they are
convenient sources of data for researcher. In probability sampling, each element in
population has a known nonzero chance of being selected through the use of random
sample procedure.
Data Gathering Instrument
The data gathering instrument was formulated having three sets and were
utilized for the interview. The first set of questions was about the personal profile of the
respondents; the second set of questions was about the distribution, and utilization of
alingaro in 4th district of Laguna; and the last focused on the
suggestion/recommendation of the respondents about their knowledge in alingaro.
Data Gathering Procedure
Collection of the data about the distribution and utilization of alingaro in 4 th district
of Laguna will do until February-April 2017 of second semester. Then researcher will
begin conducting the research study after the approval of the request from the adviser
coordinator of the BSAgEd program, coordinator of CA-RIU and the dean of college of
Agriculture of LSPU. Direct interview will do to support the information provided by the
respondents on the questionnaire used.
