Integrated Mission Statement

I live my life by the following motto: love people, make a difference, be grateful. I

approach my work and personal relationships with a person-centered lens and I greatly value

building a strong, supportive community. I also believe that every person deserves respect and

an equitable chance at a healthy and happy life, which is informed by my public health lens from

undergraduate studies and my work in Wellness and Health Promotion at Seattle University. My

Myers Briggs personality type of INFJ (Introvert, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging) means that my

professional work is centered around helping students realize their potential to positively impact

others. I support students work through challenges, realize their strengths, and discern how they

will make their mark on society. My experience in the Student Development Administration

(SDA) program at a Jesuit institution such as Seattle University has reignited my desire to make

a difference by advocating for change in broken systems and practices in order to create a more

equitable world. As a researcher and lifelong learner, I dedicate myself to continued education

and active professional development. As I act as an advocate for social justice, I remain positive

in the face of adversity, to avoid distancing myself from those with different viewpoints and

instead welcome them into my community.
