(TOCO) Muscat, Oman, AN INTERSERVE GROUP, ENGLAND as Instrumentation
engineer for the 36 pipeline project of client British Petroleum.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Having experience in cross-country pipeline projects (36 dia, 10 dia, 26 dia)
on EPC basis, involving laying OFC, testing, pre commissioning and commissioning of
pipelines. Expertise includes design, engineering, procurement, and construction of
Electrical and instrumentation for composite station works, cathodic protection system
for pipelines / stations.
Organize and assign work to foreman/ charge hands.
Plan and report requirement of manpower, materials and equipment.
Coordinate work with other supervisors, contracts and sub contractorson a daily basis to
minimize work interferences.
Instruct personnel in good housekeeping and safety practices.
Maintain work rule and work force discipline.
Ensure installation is of a standard so as to avoid quality and safety violation.
Ensure construction and installation keeps to budget plan.
Establish and maintain good relationship with clients.
Preparation of project documents like Specification, Inspection and Test reports,

The Jindal Steel & Power Ltd., Angul unit, present 1.8MTPA DRI Plant is Midrex, the state of the art plant is the
first ever in the world with MAXCOL technology, a combination with Coal Gasification to produce 1.8MTPA Direct
Reduced Iron (DRI) with the syn gas and capacity Internal coal based power plant has capacity of 810MW.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Carried out planned routine calibration of different kinds of process instruments and over hauling of control valves,
functional testing and repair.
Troubleshooting and repair instrumentation, temperature, pressure and flow control loops. Loop checking, fault-
finding and functional testing of the system
Support the plant during shutdown and start-up. Involved in the Commissioning start-up of the Furnace. Assist
vendors in repairing, calibration of instruments and valve found to be defective.
