Since September 2016, I attend a Grade 1-2 split classroom consisting of twenty students for
three days per week. The purpose of this placement is to apply what I have learned in my
college program to help those in need and to further my development in this field. I provide
emotional support to several of the young students in that class who have a variety of issues,
including physical and/or developmental disabilities, and emotional as well as developmental
challenges. The majority of these children are from at risk families who lack life skills and
require a high degree of support to deal with their basic day to day activities.
