To Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to recommend Meggan Callison for a teaching position.

Meggan is completing her student teaching in a fourth grade classroom at
Patterson Elementary School. Meggan has also worked with her cooperating
teachers team mate. The two classrooms are combined for some instruction
and to achieve appropriate groupings. Both 4th Grade teachers have been
very pleased with Meggans work. She has been a productive member of the
4th Grade team.

Meggan has exceptional classroom management skills. She uses a variety of

management techniques to quickly get her students attention. Her lessons
are well organized with clear directions and a pace that is appropriate to the
students she instructs. Her transitions are smooth and efficient. She has a
presence in the classroom that one would expect to only see with an
experienced teacher.

Meggan plans lessons that address the learning preferences of her students.
Her lessons are engaging and interesting. She does a good job of planning
activities that result in learning. Meggan is reflective about her teaching,
and strives to find ways to make her lessons more effective.

Meggan spends time getting to know her students and has a good
relationship with them. She concentrates on recognizing positive behaviors.
Clearly her students respect her, and she respects them. She creates an
atmosphere of cooperation in her classroom.

Meggan is a very effective young teacher. She is ready to handle all the
challenges of having her own classroom. Any school will be lucky to have
her. Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions.

Sincerely yours,

Julie Kuether
