Math Lesson Reflection: Numbers 0-20

The student taught a math lesson on numbers from 0 to 20 for their course. Their outcome was for students to be able to count, order, and write these numbers. This outcome was achieved. One challenge was a student who was disturbing others, but talking to the student one-on-one revealed he needed to use the bathroom. The student teacher liked how smooth the transitions between activities were due to practicing them with the students.

Reflection 3

Couse: EPC-2903
Course Teacher: Antoinette Wiseman
Done By: Ayesha Hassan

The third lesson I taught was a math lesson for numbers from zero

to twenty. My outcome was that students would be able to count, order,

and write numbers from 0-20. I achieved my outcome in the lesson I

taught.

I had a student centered classroom. I went through what students

already know at the beginning, and after that, I gave them the new

lesson. I let the students teach themselves, so they wont rely so much on

the teacher.

One problem I had was that one student was disturbing his friends.

He was moving around and not listening to his teacher or me. I knew that

he needed something. After I finished the circle time, I took him and

talked to him aside. After that, I realized that he was not behaving

because he wanted to go to the bathroom and their teacher told him not

to go. After that I allowed him to go and then he came back and acted

normal.

One thing that I liked about my teaching this day was the transition.

The transitions were very fast and didnt take too long. I practiced the

transitions with the students, and that made them know what to do

automatically without guidance from me.
