Flintkote Type 3 Asphalt Emulsion

Sandfix flintkote type iii asphalt emulsion

DESCRIPTION:

Flintokte type iii asphalt emulsion is a non-fib rated stable, water based bitumen
emulsion. It is dark brown in color and dries to a black flexible coating.

USES:

Waterproofing for concrete, asbestos cement, roofing felt, mastic asphalt, slates,
tiles, as a water moisture barrier.
It provides protection against corrosion of pipes structural steel works and other
metallic equipment.
It provides a vapor barrier for cold storage room mushroom houses and similar
applications.

PREPARATION:

Surface should be clean and free of dust, grease or loose particles.


prime with high penetration primer (primer d-41) and allow to dry.

APPLICATION:

Apply a minimum two coats by brush or spray.


Allow 24 hours between the coats. And apply each coat at right angle to the
previous coat.
For maximum durability and flexibility, the coating can be reinforced with open
woven glass fiber membrane.

STORAGE:

Shelf life one year in closed container, if stored under moderate temperature.
Ifany settling is there, stir properly.

PACKING:

Available in 20-ltr. Pails and 200-ltr. Drum.

CLEANING:

Clean immediately with water, if dries clean with hydrocarbon solvents.
