This family of products exceeds MSA compliance with broader supply and laser
voltage tolerances, interoperability with legacy devices that use CD lasers, and
interoperability with other standards-compliant transceivers at link distances up
to 80 km. All 850 nm products use enhanced oxide lasers and transmit optical
subassemblies designed for reliability and extra-long-life operations.
The JSH family expands upon the original JSP/JSM family features with extended
temperature operation and a bail latch for high density host card packaging. JSH
products are respectively product-enhanced with SFF 8472 compliant digital
diagnostic monitoring features.

The 10 Gb/s 1310nm Optical XFP Transceiver integrates the receive and transmit
paths in one package. On the transmit side, the 10 Gb/s serial data stream is
recovered, retimed, and passed to a laser driver. The laser driver biases and
modulates a 1310 nm distributed feedback (DFB) laser, enabling datatransmission
over single-mode fibre through an industry-standard LC connector. On the receive
side, the 10 Gb/s optical data stream is recovered from a PIN photodetector/
transimpedance amplifier, retimed,and passed to an output driver. This module
features a hot-pluggable XFI-compliant electrical interface.

The 10 Gb/s 850 nm XFP Transceiver integrates receive and transmit paths in one
package and is designed for reliability and performance. On the transmit side, the
10 Gb/s serial data stream is recovered, retimed and passed to a laser driver. The
laser driver biases and modulates an 850 nm VCSEL, enabling data transmission
at distances of up to 300m over multimode fibre (MMF) through an industry
standard LC connector. On the receive side, the 10 Gb/s optical data stream is
recovered from a PIN photodetector/transimpedance amplifier, retimed and
passed to an output driver. This module features a hot-pluggable XFI compliant
electrical interface.

transmission over multi-mode fibre at distances of up to 300 m. This module
features a 4-bit XAUI differential hot-pluggable electrical interface and accepts an
industry standard duplex SC optical connector.

The modules are based on a standard LGX building practice and offer an easy installation and connection
process. Two modules can be mounted into a 19” or 23” bracket. Wavelength colour coding to industry practice
and in-line with CWDM devices from Cisco Systems.
The C-series consists of an 8 channel Mux/Demux module, two 4 channel Optical Add/Drop Multiplexers
(OADMs) and eight single-wavelength dual channel OADMs. Each module offers low insertion loss, optical
monitoring ports tapping 2% of the optical light signals allowing live monitoring and troubleshooting of the CWDM
signals, as well as the mixing of 1310 nm CWDM signals on the same fibre infrastructures.

The modules meet the requirements of the IEEE 802.3 Gigabit Ethernet standard and ANSI Fibre Channel
specifications, and are suitable for interconnections in Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel environments. The
family covers a wide range of applications, with 850nm versions available for mulitimode fibre and 1310nm and
CWDM wavelengths available for singlemode fibre.
CWDM modules operate at nominal Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) wavelengths. Eight
centre wavelengths are available from 1471 nm to 1611 nm with each step being 20 nm. The CWDM
characteristics are fully compliant to the wavelength parameters specified in ITU standards G.694.2 and G.695
