Charging:
Press: Selected will appear in the screen
Ensure Radio is off. Place radio in charger.
Using the numeric keypad, key in the 3 digit call sign you
wish to contact.
A steady Red light indicates charging.
Press the Call button immediately below the PTT button
A flashing Green light indicates 90% charge.

Note: If Call Sign is single Digit: Add Zero Zero
above 40 degrees Celcius or Voltage threshold incorrect.
E.g.: KF 2 becomes KF 200 in Selective Calling
Remove from power and contact Radio room.
If Call Sign is 2 digits: Add a Zero in the middle E.g. KF 23
Turn radio off whenever charging where possible.
Adapters are supplied to charge battery in charger becomes KF 203 in selective callingSelective Call

Radio Speak Short List of Common ProWords:

* Keep conversation short and to the point affirmative = yes


* Use ENGLISH language ONLY on UN VHF / HF networks negative = no
* Dont shout on the radio roger = understood
* Keep the radio so that the distance between microphone and over = handover to other party (use it at the end of
mouth is 5 cm each complete phrase)
* Speak slowly and clearly out = end of transmission
* Press PTT button and wait 2 seconds before talking standby = wait on this channel
* Use Full CALL Signs ONLY, NO NAMES ALLOWED correction = to correct the mistakes in the message
* When talking on the radio, end each of your transmission with well copied = confirm receipt of message
the word OVER. The other party then knows you are finished negative copied = message not copied or copied incompletely
and they can talk. go/move to channel = switch to another channel
* End the entire conversation with OUT. This indicates that the go ahead = continue
conversation is totally finished.
