BROTHERHOOD OF THE CROSS AND STAR

"MEMORANDUM"
INTRODUCTION:
In a bid to streamline various activities in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star,
it has become necessary to write down these sets of precepts to make for uniform
ity in the Organisation all over the world. It is imperative on everyone to unde
rstand his or her duties in order to maintain a smooth and hitch free administra
tion as required here in this new KINGDOM, Brotherhood of the Cross and Star.
There is only one Father, Leader and Teacher in the whole Universe, the Holy Spi
rit Personified, HE is LEADER OLUMBA OLUMBA OBU. In Him is found Peace, Joy, Hum
ility, Temperance, Mercy and Long-suffering. His orders are final. Whoever says
he represents the Father must at all times obey His commands and instructions.
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to
destroy, but to fulfil.
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle sha
ll in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach
men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever sh
all do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousnes
s of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of he
aven." (Matthew Chapter 5 verses 17 to 20).
Since creation, mankind has never experienced any true or rightful leadership. M
essengers sent by God to teach man the tenets of His divine leadership and peace
ful life are always despised, rejected and killed. The last and most spectacular
of all was the episode concerning the only begotten Son of God, Our Lord Jesus
Christ.
As a result of man's rejection of the word of God and His administrative set-up;
inexplicable hardship and problems have befallen mankind. Now being Ambassadors
and Administrators of this kingdom, our bounding duty is to practically demonst
rate the teachings of this new Kingdom in its totality wherever man is found. Ou
r motto should be "LEADERSHIP BY EXAMPLE."
We are expected to be acquainted and imbued with the administrative principles w
hich are laid down and demonstrated by the Supernatural Teacher to enable us to
gather the sheep of God rather than scatter them abroad. For this reason, it is
our prerogative to: restore peace among quarrelling brethren within and outside
the fold, settle religious conflicts that may arise between members; and settle
religious conflicts that may arise among the peoples of the world, so that Broth
erhood may be revealed as a peaceful Kingdom of God on earth.
As enunciated in the scripture:
"Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his
household, to give them meat in due season?
Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods." (Matthe
w Chapter 24 verses 45 to 47).
Let us therefore use this opportunity to always instill love, and have a peacefu
l co-existence with brethren in the fold. Our prayers should be that God should
always enlighten our minds and give us the power to overcome all types of tempta
tions and principalities of this dark world, so as to propagate His gospel of pe
ace, love and oneness without fear or hindrance, at all seasons.
THANK YOU FATHER.

d in white robes? and whence came they?
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which
came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white
in the blood of the Lamb.
Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his
temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light
on them, nor any heat.
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead
them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from th
eir eyes." (Revelation Chapter 7 verses 13 to 17).
Code of Conduct: (g.)
It is the doctrine of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star not to wear shoes into t

e retain, they are retained." (John Chapter 20 verses 22 and 23).

James Chapter 4 verses 11 and 12, Speak not evil:
"Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother,
and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if t
hou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that jud

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them p
ray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; an
d if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be hea
led. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that
it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years a
nd six months." (James Chapter 5 verses 13 to 17).
Luke Chapter 14 verses 12 to 14, Whom to invite in making a feast:
"Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper,
call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighb
ours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.
But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be re
compensed at the resurrection of the just." (Luke Chapter 14 verses 12 to 14).
Matthew Chapter 19 verses 23 to 26, A rich man shall hardly enter into the Kingd
om of heaven.
"Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shal
l hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a ne
edle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can
be saved?
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with
God all things are possible." (Matthew Chapter 19 verses 23 to 26).

Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God
hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come." (1st Corinthians C

6 and 7).
2nd Corinthians Chapter 8 verses 12 to 15, Church Fund:
"For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man ha
th, and not according to that he hath not.
For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened:
But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for the
ir want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may
be equality:
As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had ga
thered little had no lack." (2nd Corinthians 8 verses 12 to 15).
John Chapter 3 verses 13 to 16, God's love to man:
"And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even
the Son of man which is in heaven.
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of ma
n be lifted up:
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever b
elieveth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John Chapter 3 v
erses 13 to 16).
Romans Chapter 12 verses 19 to 21, Vengeance belongs to God:

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans Chapter 12 verses

Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant." (Matthew Chapter 23 ve

James Chapter 1 verse 19, Swift to hear but slow to speak:
"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak,
slow to wrath:" (James Chapter 1 verse 19).
James Chapter 1 verses 13 to 16, We are tempted by our lust and not by God.
"Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempt
ed with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finish
ed, bringeth forth death.
Do not err, my beloved brethren." (James Chapter 1 verses 13 to 16).
James Chapter 1, Sources of temptation and wisdom:
"James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes whic
h are scattered abroad, greeting.
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanti
ng nothing.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally,
and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave
of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:
But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shal
l pass away.
For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass,
and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so
also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall rece
ive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempte
d with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finish
ed, bringeth forth death.
Do not err, my beloved brethren.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the F
ather of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of
firstfruits of his creatures.
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, s
low to wrath:
For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive w
ith meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man behold
ing his natural face in a glass:
For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what man
ner of man he was.
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he be
ing not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in
his deed.
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but dece
iveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fath
erless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the wo
rld." (James Chapter 1).
He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattere
th abroad. (Matthew Chapter 12 verse 30).
