The 2017 Strathmore Stampede is al-
most upon us but parade coordinators are
requesting additional volunteers for the
event. The annual parade has become a
staple of the Strathmore Stampede, allow-

and acquire some candy.
Its a very busy morning and theres a
lot going on, said Assistant Community
Events Organizer Kendra Armstrong. The
more help we can get the better.
Volunteers duties include road closure,
float and horse staging. Each volunteer re-

chance to win tickets to the Stampede.
Last year was really well received, said
Armstrong. We had a lot of volunteers
step up and I think they all enjoyed them-
selves.
The town is looking for at least 15 volun-
teers. The town staff has also contributed
to the volunteer staff while the Strathmore
and District Chamber of Commerce will be

Seniors Drop-in Centre The Happy Gang is taking a break while enhancements to
the Lambert Centre are completed. The Centre will be closed as of August 1st. The
search for a temporary location is underway and will be announced as soon as
possible. When construction is completed at the Lambert Centre, the
Happy Gang will move back into the improved space.
