FN Integrated onto various platforms. The FN Family of Systems is based on proven single-barrel automatic weapon designs
that offer reliability, accuracy, lethality, simplicity and safety. FN designs are easily adapted to mobility platforms
Weapon Systems (land, sea, and air) such as wheeled and tracked vehicles, watercraft, and rotary and fixed wing aircraft. FN has
developed and built specialized subsystems around its family of 5.56mm, 7.62mm and .50 caliber machine gun
systems to perform several different types of missions in extreme environments. FN Integrated Weapon Systems
performance can be augmented by the inclusion of sighting systems that enable target acquisition and identification
at further distances, as well as electronic fire controls, that greatly increase the probability of a hit.

The FN deFNder Light was designed to provide a lightweight remote firing capability with the operator completely under armor protection.
The system is optimized for vehicles that cannot mount a heavier medium weapon station, vehicles that have no requirement for a heavy
machine gun, or perimeter defense applications. As a result, FN has used its experience in medium weapon stations to design and develop
a weapon station that is optimized to mount the 5.56mm and 7.62mm machine guns for perimeter defense, small vehicles and watercraft.
The FN deFNder Light is scalable in terms of ammunition capacity and optical capability depending on customer requirements, and it
Operator Console Panel is also capable of accepting armor protection packages to guard against strikes from rocks, obstructions and fire from similar caliber
weapons. Additionally, the FN deFNder Light is capable of elevating to +80 degrees and depressing to -60 degrees. This capability allows
the operator to engage a target that is much higher than the vehicle which is suitable in urban terrain as well as in mountainous regions.
Furthermore, the capability to depress the weapon to -60 degrees will allow the operator to engage a target that is close to the vehicle or
into lower terrain that drops away from the vehicle.

FIRST ROUND HITS. ON TARGET. EVERY TIME.

The two new FN FCUs (Fire Control Unit) for the 40mm MK 13 EGLM represent a quantum leap in target ranging and automatic
aim correction to ensure first round hit capability in virtually any combat situation. By combining advanced laser rangefinding
technology with a sophisticated ballistic computer/clinometer and a sight with moving red aiming reticle, human error-induced
aiming factors are removed from the equation. To use the FN FCU, the operator simply places his primary rifle optic reticle on the
target and activates the ranging function. The computer develops a firing solution for the specific type of grenade being used based
on range and firing angle and instantly adjusts the moving red aiming reticle in the FCU. The operator then re-centers the target in
the moving red aiming reticle and fires for effect.
