The River

One hot sunny day, I felt really bad and mad.

In a blink of an eye, I saw a nice river.

Flowing softly and stilly, and it makes me glad.

A beautiful scenery to look the river.

Life is just like a river that goes on and on.

Problems and trials come in our way and went on.

Life is a paradox, sometimes its bad and good.

I realize today I’m mad tomorrow I’m glad.

-Shailen Francisco-

The Sea

The calm and peaceful place,

Where you could relax your face.

From problems that this world give,

And so the people would have peace to live.

A place where joy overflows,

And every creature would follow,

The way that I am going,

To the sea that all my life I’ve been longing.

- Kathleen Kaye Alexis Suello-

This is Life
He sendeth sun, he sendeth shower,
Alike they're needful for the flower:
And joys and tears alike are sent
To give the soul fit nourishment.
As comes to me or cloud or sun,
Father! thy will, not mine, be done!
Can loving children e'er reprove
With murmurs whom they trust and love?
Creator! I would ever be
A trusting, loving child to thee:
As comes to me or cloud or sun,
Father! thy will, not mine, be done!
Oh, ne'er will I at life repine:
Enough that thou hast made it mine.
When falls the shadow cold of death
I yet will sing, with parting breath,
As comes to me or shade or sun,
Father! thy will, not mine, be done!

Confusion
When I was lonely, I thought of death.
When I thought of death I was lonely.

I suppose this error will continue.

I shall enter each gray morning

Delighted by frost, which is death,

& the trees that stand alone in mist.

When I met my wife I was lonely.

Our child in her body is lonely.

I suppose this error will go on & on.

Morning I kiss my wife's cold lips,

Nights her body, dripping with mist.

This is the error that fascinates.

I suppose you are secretly lonely,

Thinking of death, thinking of love.

Our Mother Earth

This mother earth,

Who gives us life.

This mother earth,

Heart filled with strife.

We love her not,

Through love we should.

Her death we plot,

For life’s own good.

She gave us air and food and all,

That’s not enough we human scream

With greedy lust our mouth do foam,

With evil hopes our eyes do gleam

-Gay Jasper Tolentino-

Shaped Poems
bright
early spring and
the oak tree's beauty
shimmers the eye of sunshine
through her high waving branches
revealing the squirrel's bushy tail
and the robin red breast
perched on twigs deep inside
a glowing mass of green
singing a sweet lullaby
to her young
oh
how
we
love
the time of spring

my lucky stars
each night for placing
me in the galaxy of granddaughters
Shooting through my heart

the same measure of hap-

Slipping sands speed heedless of their doom

enclosed in gently sloping glass whose
narrowing imperceptibly perceived
in passive acceleration
translates
swiftly
to
renewal
where potential lies
waiting in capacious realm
and welcomes the onrushing pour
of hopeful grains amassed in sloping bulk
heedless of the overturning hand once more

Student’s Life
It starts in the early Monday.
Happy to see your friends in red.
The Flag Ceremony on Tuesday.
That makes you rush to school and turns on your
head.
Wednesdays are known for some recreations,
See Sir Seth, the instructor of Pathfinders.
That teaches discipline in your words and actions,
And be prepared for the midweek prayer,
Thursday is the day to rush again,
For the flag ceremony to you is waiting.
Study the lessons and the spelling’s lane.
For tomorrow is Friday and a quiz is waiting.
After the Chapel Period ends,
Cheerfully play computer with your friends.
-Giovanni Aceberos

Life and Love

I behold thy love as beautiful
thing,
In my wrecked heart, a pleasure garden
,
Thy revered love, a blooming Eden.
A daisy
tuft seasoned by bright spring,
Surging in moments that defeats waiting,
I behold thy words as a jeweled crown,
On my worn pages of despicable frown.
And thy memory feeds my mind dying,
Daring couple disclose, but don’t you tell,
About memoirs many encased and kept,
Say not thy chronicle, sweet as daisy smell,
Buried, not unseen to thy eyes except
Reveal not, the guarded stash of our love,
Lest a rational world desires to know! ! !

Student Life

Being a student is never that easy

Homeworks in the night, sermons in the dawn

The lessons everyday make you gto nuts and

dizzy

Ends up weary looking at the moon.

The layered projects given.

The formulas you must be following

All those stuffs are just part of a student’s

livin.

While summer vacation is coming

The lot of whishes that insipired

And the teases that sometimes hurt

The love that was never tired

Would really touch our heart

But the memorable experiences acquired

Would remain in your heart now and onward.

-Dhazelle Love Denila-

Student Life

During the wee hours of man, I rose up

All determined to give this day my best,

Unhindered by those things I just can’t stop

Such as the hardships of today’s test.

During the heat of the day, I kept still,

So blithe and steady, even amidst strife.

At times I staggered and just couldn’t deal,

I sighed, hence knowing that trials are there in

a student life.

Tis twilight , I sit here all pondering,

While birds chip so tuneful so melody,

Cheering my fem’nine soul to sing,

Ready to face tomorrow’s rhapsody.

Yes, students should keep their heads through

highs and lows,

And bounce back again after painful blows.

-Glare Starlet Gutierrez-

Students Life

As the sun rises in the east, a student wake from his

good sleep.
A prayer is said before eve done to keep him well
throughout the day.

And as the student heads to school with him he bring

his books to keep.

But one maiden, one fair and lovely maiden, came

across his way,

She was lovely, yet lonesome and needed someplace

to stay.

But he who was heading to school, questioned if he

lend a hand.

So he thought and thought but could not seem to find

the right way.

Then he stopped down and picked her up and brought

her to a radiant land.

He chose to help the fair maiden, than to be at school

learning bout caliber,

This is what every student must know how to do,

To experience matters itself than to just learn from

lectures of the teachers.

But this does not edify you to miscue,

Instead make views from the teachers lectures

For one day you’ll be part of your yesterdays.
