TUFTED COATING AND DRYING LINES

The Sellers finishing range for tufted products includes primary backcoating, foam applications and
embossing, secondary and laminating. Sellers has the design flexibility to build these lines to meet
customer requirements. The equipment available for coating and drying products includes:-
• Tracked unroll units.
• Entry ‘J’ scrays and accumulators.
• Back and face brushing units with extraction.
• Single and dual-path lick roller applicators.
• Overhead direct spread units and jute lock unroll systems.
• Stenter mechanisms with unique Sellers design allowing full width adjustment, external lubrication
and cleaning assemblies.
• True-zonal drying chambers allowing significant temperature differential between the top and
bottom zones.
• Chambers can be oil, gas or steam heated.
• Sellers double roller laminating units offering an infinitely variable width setting and carpet widths
can be changed ‘on the run’.
• Single and multi roller embossing units available for foam backed products.
• Exit equipment including edge trimming and removal, accumulators, inspection, slitting and cross-
cut and re-roll units.
WOVEN BACKCOATING AND DRYING PLANTS

The renowned Sellers Woven Finishing Plants for Wilton and Axminster Carpet incorporate all the
elements required to give the customer full control over the special techniques needed for finishing
these product. The Plants include:-
• Precise carpet tension linked to the main drive minimizes the possibility of distortion.
• Purpose designed guiding units fitted at all critical areas.
• Improved cleaning units incorporating beaters, back and face brushes with extraction systems.
• Precise latex application achieved with a coated lick roll system incorporating all the necessary
control variables.
• Latex re-circulating and filtering systems optional.
• Carpet drying via a combination of high efficiency hot air drying chambers together with drying
cylinders.
• Simple carpet path minimizes pile contact.
• Efficient and controlled steaming achieved with either chest or vertical steamers.
THROUGHFLOW WOVEN BACKCOATING MACHINE

This is specifically designed as a simple, limited capacity woven Coating and Drying Line. It
incorporates all the necessary elements for woven carpet finishing. The main features are:-
• A compact latex coating unit including back brushing and steaming.
• Infra-red pre-drying available as an option.
• Large diameter steam heated drying cylinder.
• A range of entry and exit equipment is available to suit customer requirements. (see Ancillary
Equipment)
• Carpet path ensures maximum utilization of drying cylinder, but avoids pile contact when the carpet
is hot.
• This compact unit requires minimum floor space.
NEEDLEPUNCH COATING AND DRYING LINES

The Sellers finishing range for needlepunch products includes full and partial impregnation, foam
applications and embossing. Sellers has the design flexibility to build these lines to meet customer
requirements. The equipment includes:-
• Tracked Unroll Units and/or Tracked J-Scrays with Centre Roll Unwind.
• Full or Partial Impregnation Application Units.
• Direct Spread Application Units for foam and crumb rubber products.
• Heavy Duty Squeeze Mangles.
• Lines available with Heavy Duty Stenters or Conveyor Systems.
• Single and True-Zonal Drying Chambers with accurate temperature and air flow control.
• Drying Chambers can be oil, gas or steam heated.
• Electric or Gas Infra-Red Pre-Gel or Pre-Dry Units.
• Single and Multi Roller Embossing Units available for foam backed products.
• Exit equipment including Edge Trimming and Removal, Accumulators, Inspection, Slitting and
Cross-Cut and Re-Roll Units.
