During the fall semester of my senior year at SDSU, I completed my preschool student teaching
Elementary Education experience at the Volga Christian Preschool. During this time, I taught underneath my mentor
teacher a class of 3-4 year olds, and a class of 4-5 year olds, on alternate days. My responsibilities
included attending daily morning meetings, creating lesson plans for various subjects, engaging with
children during free play, table work, and recess, and doing individual lessons for children in need of
extra help.

Sioux Falls, SD As a part of the dance minor program at South Dakota State University, I attended the
National Dance Education Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. This conference had various
different presentations, including both dance and education oriented. Mainly, I learned
how to implement dance and movement into everyday classroom lessons.
