ABSTRACT
Porcelianlaminateveneersarecomtemporarywayof
modifyingtoothshapewithminimalinvasivenesstowardhard
dentaltissue.WithlatestdevelopmentofCADsoftwareand
CAMtechnology,ithasbecomepossibletomillthinveneers
directlyoutofaCAMunit.Theaimofthisarticleistoshowthe
useofCAD/CAMtechnologyintheproductionofvenners,used
fortoothformmodification.Ayoungfemalewithrudimented
upperrightsecondincizoraskedforanoninvasiveform
change.Teethwerescannedwithintraoralscanner
(sirona,CERECAC,Beinsheim,Germany).UsingCADsoftwarea
veneerhasbeencreated,usingappropriatetoolsfromthe
menu.Leftincizorhasbeentreatedwithametalfreefull
crown.Afterfinalizationofthetoothdesign,datahavebeen
senttothemillingunit(sirona,CEREC
MCXL,beinsheim,Germany).Veneerandacrownweremilled
outoflithiumdisilicateglassceramicblock(IPSe.maxCAD
IvoclarVivadent,schaa,Liechtenstein).Bothrestorationswere
adhesivelycemented.CAD/CAMsystemsalloweffectiveprecise
andtimesavingdentaltreatment.Furtherdevelopmentwill
increasesusceptibilityofsystemineverydayspractice.
