Sir/Madam:

I am writing to express my sincerest interest to be considered as an applicant for a Senior High


School teaching post in the General Academics Strand that will be offered in San Nicholas III,
Bacoor city, Cavite.

I am Ms. Mae L. Cendana and I have been teaching in the tertiary level since June of 2008. Since
then, I have had considerable undergraduate teaching experience in several types of courses -
including major subjects in English and several Foundation of Education subjects. The latter
experience introduced me to the pleasures of leading class discussion and the challenges of
transforming new materialsome of it unfamiliar to meinto useful discussion with my students.

In addition, I was tasked not only to coach in several curricular and extra-curricular events in and out
of the campus but also to be a resource speaker for several in-campus trainings. This experience not
only honed my teaching skills but also my social skills.

I took up Bachelor of Elementary Education at the Philippine Normal University Manila and
graduated Cum Laude in March of 2007. I also successfully passed the 2007 Licensure Examination
for Teachers with the rating of 87.6%. To date, I am a candidate for graduation for my Masters
Degree at St.Francis of Assisi College System (SFACS)-Bayanan campus under the program Master
of Arts in Education major in Educational Management.

To further enhance my abilities and teaching skills, I have attended several local and international
seminars and trainings regarding the current trends and issues in education.
Teaching has been an important part of my training and I believe my background would be useful in
the General Academic Strand.
