Caroline, still involved in a relationship with Tyler, gets jealous over some random girl, Klaus slept with.

Klaus, explain yourself Caroline demanded.

'Explain what ? Could you be more precise, love?. Klaus said, looking at his fresh painting and adjusting
a few features, here and there.

'Dont 'love me Klaus. You know exactly what I mean. You and.. Caroline had a hard time pronuncing her
name. 'That girl.

'Who? Megan ?. He smiled, knowing Caroline probably shivered at the sound of her name. 'Shes
nothing. I only slept with her for fun, love. Why are you asking about her? I sense a little bit of jealousy
there?

'What? No, no, no. Most definitely no. She put her hands up, in defence.

'Good. Klaus tried to put an end to the subject, but Caroline thought otherwise so she kept pushing.

'Still, I dont get it. Why did you do it? Its not like you Klaus. You dont sleep around with all the people
you make eye contact with. Youre different.

He put the brush down and turned around to face to little blonde girl that was questioning his actions.

'You think because I havent had sex , or at least not any that you are aware of, I dont have physical
needs ? Im still a man Caroline. Thats what we do. We sleep around with whomever we want and can.
He made a few steps towards her. 'Dont get all jealous on me, because I did something normal for the
first time in my life.

'You shouldnt have done what you did. Caroline spoke.

'And your suggestion is?Fight for you? I did. I fought for you, but Im done with it. You rejected me, love.
What was I supposed to do? Kill off Tyler, kiddnap you and lock you in the basement until you come to
your senses and love me? Its your choice, love. Whom to love and whom to hate. Im not going to fight
for something that doesnt exist.

'This is not fair Klaus. You never made me choose between you and Tyler, so its not exactly called
rejection.

'Dont turn my words around. This is what it is. Now, if youll excuse me, Ill be in my room, getting drunk
and forget about this drama. Were not in high-school anymore Caroline. He bent his head a little bit, on
the left side. 'Or at least Im not.

Klaus left the room, leaving Caroline facing the painting. It took her a couple of minutes to realize why the
features seemed so familiar to her. It was her portrait. She turned around, ready to say anything, but let
the words unspoken. Sure, hes done fighting. And Im God. She stepped through the wooden door and
out into the darkness.
