1. Simple Present Tense 4.

Present Perfect Continuous Tense


Formula: (+) S + have/has + been + V-ing
(+) S + V1 + O/C (-) S + have/has + not + been + V-ing
(-) S + do/does + not + V1 + O/C (?) Have/has + S + been + V-ing
(?) Do/does + S + V1 + O/C Example:
Example: (+) He has been playing guitar for 2hours.
(+) Sisca reads book everyday. (-) He has not been playing guitar for 2hours
(-) Sisca does not read book everyday. (?) Has he been playing guitar for 2 hours?
(?) Does Sisca read book everyday? Yes, he has. / No, he has not.
Yes, she does. / No, she does not.
5. Simple Past Tense
2. Present Continuous Tense (+) S + to be (was/were) + O/C
Formula: S + V2 + O/C
(+) S + be + V1 + ing + O/C (-) S + to be (was/were) + not + O/C
(-) S + be + not + V1 + ing + O/C S + did not + V1 + O/C
(?) Be + S + V1 + ing + O/C (?) Did + S + V1 + O/C
Example: Example:
(+) He is playing badminton now (+) He was a businessman in 1999.
(-) He is not playing badminton now He visited me yesterday.
(?) Is he playing badminton now? (-) He was not a businessman in 1999.
Yes, he is. / No, he is not. He did not visit me yesterday.
(?) Did he visit you yesterday?
3. Present Perfect Tense Yes, he did. / No, he did not.

S + has/have + V3 + O/C 6. Past Continuous Tense

Example: Example
(+) He has been at home for a month. (+) She was sleeping when I came.
Roni has eaten the steak already. (-) She was not sleeping when I came.
(-) He has not been at home for a month. (?) Was she sleeping when you came?
Roni has not eaten the steak already. Yes, she was. / No, she was not.
(?) Has he been at home for a month?

7. Past Perfect Tense 10. Future Continuous Tense
