Paghayo with young people as concrete sign of hope of the Mission
October 23 is the 6th anniversary of the canonization of our Founder Saint Guido Maria
Conforti whose the Patron of the Missions, St Francis Xavier and the Patroness of the Missions,
St Theresa of Lisieux, played a central influence in the Missionary heart of St G.M. Conforti. In
addition to the Christocentric dimension, Conforti considered these two great models as the
model of holiness so that he Combined the apostolic Zeal of St Francis Xavier and the
contemplative spirit of St Theresa of the child Jesus. In a homely dedicated to St Theresa, in
1923, Conforti said: Theresa was nor an apostle, but perhaps few apostles have glorified God as
she did. It is not always a zealous word that conquers souls for god. Good example, prayer and
penance were the expressions of her zeal and apostolate , these were her simple and sublime
glorifications
As the World Mission Sunday enables the missionary heart of Catholics to respond in prayer and
