Rotary Kiln Zones

A rotary kiln has distinct zones along its length for different stages of a chemical process: a preheater zone at the inlet heats materials, a calcination zone raises temperatures for chemical reactions, a transition zone allows further heating, a sintering zone bakes materials into hard pellets or clinkers, and a cooling zone at the outlet allows finished products to cool before discharge.
