Objectives of Overall objective(s): to promote values and objectives of ICC system in order to
the action enhance the implementation of or adherence to the Rome statute and functioning of
the ICC in the region
Specific objective(s): 1) to raise awareness of target groups on the importance of
international criminal justice for peace and stability of their countries and the region
as well, 2) to spread information and knowledge on the mandate, structure the ways
of functioning and on so far activity of ICC, 3) to train members of civil society
target groups for lobbying campaigns in favour of joining the ICC, 5) to train legal
practitioners, 6) to enhance dialogue between civil society and local authorities, 7)
to increase institutional capacity of civil society entities for promoting the project
goals, 8) to enhance transnational cooperation and networking of civil society
entities in executing the project objectives
Target group(s) 1) members of civil society entities, 2) legal practitioners, prosecutors, judges,
members of legal enforcement agencies, 3) members of relevant local and regional
authorities, 4) university and secondary schools teachers and students, 5) leaders of
professional organisation dealing with justice, 6) regional and local journalists and
mass media institutions
Final 1) members of civil society entities, 2) prosecutors, judges, law enforcement
beneficiaries officers, legal practitioners in field of the project, 3) specialised journalists, 2)
relevant civil servants, 4) academics and students dealing with project topics, 6)
public at large
Estimated 1) Electronic database, 2) Informed and trained members of target groups, 3)
results Disseminated well-targeted info and awareness raising material, 4) Increased
institutional capacity of civil society entities, 5) Improved political will for ratifying
the Rome statute and for adopting or improving the national implementing
legislation, 6) Increased knowledge on the so far activities of ICC, 7) Produced and
disseminated publications, 8) Well-designed and implemented communication
strategy, 9) Efficient transnational cooperation and networking of relevant civil
society entities, 10) Established dialogue between civil society and regional / local

Main activities 1) Data collection and research of policy and legal situation in project countries, 2)
Seminars, WS and press conferences aimed at promoting the objectives of the
project, 3) Seminars and WS on the mandate, structure the ways of functioning and
on so far activity of ICC aimed at raising awareness of members of civil society
entities, local and regional authorities, civil servants, legal practitioners and
journalists, 4) Training of members of civil society for lobbying activities, 5)
Organisation of specialised courses for legal practitioners on specific issues, 6)
Seminars aimed at improving the institutional capacity of civil society organisation
for their activities in the field of the project, 7) Common conferences of all partners
on specific issues of general importance, 8) Building up the web-site and elaboration
and distribution of publications issued in hard copy, on CD and internet web-site
