The Battle Tower is one of the
Battle Frontier facilities in
Hoenn. It is a standard 3-vs-3
single or 4-vs-4 double battle
battle. The more wins you get,
the harder the opponents get.
In the Battle Palace, you are
faced with a challenge that is
based entirely on how much
your Pokmon trust you.
Your Pokmon are put
through a series of battles to
show whether they trust you
or not. You will not be able to
choose which moves your
Pokmon will use. There is a
girl in a building at the Battle
Frontier that will tell you the
strategy of the Pokmon you
have and if it will change if
it's health gets low.
In the Battle Factory, you will go
through the Battle Swap
Challenge. Your knowledge of
Pokmon will be tested. Your
Pokmon will be traded
(temporarily) for rental
Pokmon for you to battle with.
On the "porch", your aide will
give you some stats on your
opponent and his battle style.
You may incorporate this into
your strategy if you want. After
each match, you will be able to
swap one of your rental
Pokmon with a Pokmon from
the previous opponent's team.
In the Battle Pyramid, the aim is to
reach the top of the pyramid without
your Pokmon fainting. You are faced
with a dark room with a maze inside.
You may encounter wild Pokmon in
the pyramid, but you cannot catch
them. Your Bag is switched for a Battle
Bag, containing a Hyper Potion and a
Max Ether. You may also find items
dotted around the place, such as Ether
and Fluffy Tail. If you succeed in your
goal, your Battle Bag will be reserved
for your later challenges. If you fail, its
contents will be reset, leaving you with
just Hyper Potion and Max Ether.
The Pyramid is a challenge in which
you must explore the pyramid and try
to reach the top. There are seven floors
of skilled trainers and also wild
Pokmon.
In the Battle Dome, you
will go through a
tournament involving
Preliminary, Quarter Final,
Semi-Final and Final
rounds. You will be faced
with three opponents. If
you defeat them all, you
will complete the Battle
Dome challenge. The aim
of this facility is to test your
tactics.
In the Battle Arena, you and your
Pokmon are put through a series of
KO matches. You have three turns to
faint your opponent's Pokmon, or
the Judge will determine who is the
winner. Your Pokmon are judged in
three categories: Skill, Mind and
Vitality. If your Pokmon has more
points than your opponent's, your
opponent's Pokmon is judged the
loser. If your opponent's Pokmon has
the most points, then your Pokmon
will faint.
You have to battle seven trainers
consecutively and after three turns of
battling, the referee decides who
wins.
The Battle Pike is a test of
your luck. You may find
your Pokmon will be
burned or frozen [etc.] by a
Pokmon with a Timid
Nature. Your Bag and
Poknav will not be
available to you.
The Battle Tower is one of
the Battle Frontier
facilities in Sinnoh. It is a
standard 3-on-3 battle.
The more wins you get,
the harder the opponents
get.
You receive random
Pokmon. You must fight
your opponent with these
Pokmon. You get hints
about your opponent's
Pokmon. As you progress,
you receive more faint clues
of the opponent.
It is a standard 3-on-3 battle,
but there is a catch. Prior to
battling an opponent, the
player must spin and stop a
gameboard via the touch
screen. The space that the
player lands on determines the
effects of the battle. The effects
can affect the player, the
opponent, or both; depending
on which space they landed.
The more wins you get, the
harder your opponents get and
the faster the board goes.
In the Battle Castle, the
player must fight 7
trainers in a row, with
the prerequisite being
that all hold items must
be removed prior to
entry. Trainers are also
limited to using only 3
Pokmon, all of which
have had their levels
reduced to level 50.
You choose the type of
your opponents. Every
time you beat a type,
their rank goes up. This
makes them smarter
have a higher level, and
higher stats.
A pokemon battle is a fight between your pokemon
and another pokemon, it can be a wild
pokemon, located in tall grass, caves or deserts, or a
pokemon from another trainer
A wild pokemon can be caught or you can flee from
battle, but when you battle with a trainer then these
two options are not available
You can only have a maximum of 6 pokemon in your
party
A double battle is when you and your oponent use two
pokemon to battle
A tag battle is when two trainers fight together
You can also have double battles with wild pokemon if
you are in the dark tall grass, if you want to capture
one of these pokemon you have to faint the other one
first
There are special moves that affect all other pokemon
on the field or just one side
In these battles you use three pokemon to fight
The pokemon on the far right cannot attack the
pokemon on the far left and viceversa
This rule does not apply to special or long-
range moves like dragon pulse or acrobatics
In here you also use three pokemon to fight but
only one pokemon, the one in the middle, can
attack or recieve damage each turn
A sky battle is a type of battle where the two
pokemon fight in the air
Only flying pokemon or pokemon with the ability
levitate can participate in these battles
There are a few exceptions like Pidgey, Spearow,
Doduo, Dodrio, Farfetchd, Gengar, Hoothoot,
Starly, Pidove, Flecthling and Hawlucha
This is a new type of battle where super-
effective moves become not very effective and
viceversa
You can only have these types of battle in one
house in route 18
In a horde encounter, five wild pokemon
appear to battle you
These pokemon are usually from the same
species, but it may include some counterparts
or a pokemon with a similar design

Poison type pokemon cannot be poisoned

A pokeball is used to catch
and store wild pokemon

pokeballs, some that get
better depending on what
type of pokemon you are
battling, what level they
are, if you have caught it or
not, where you are battling
it and some that affects the
pokemon after you have
caugh it
