Motor Vehicle Valuation Guide

This document discusses motor vehicle valuation. It begins by defining motor vehicle valuation as estimating the worth of a motor vehicle. It then discusses the purposes of valuation, which include sales, taxation, insurance. It also discusses factors that affect value, such as age, mileage, engine/transmission condition, body condition, tires, and maintenance history. The document then goes into further details on each of these factors and how they are evaluated to determine an overall valuation of a motor vehicle.

.

Vehicle depreciates a small amount during the first 10,000 Miles

and then drops rapidly during the next 50,000 Miles to about 75%
value of original cost. This is because the rate at which car
depreciates is not same from year to year.

It has been established that mileage never takes the value of a

vehicle below 50% of its original value.
