we build a customizable learning environment that ease the learning teaching process in

any given Universities. By building a class based Course Management Portal which will enhance
the current learning teaching process to an advance technology learning process. The majority of
courses at the university utilize some aspect of the learning process to provide course content,
foster communication and/or assess student work, which suggests an opportunity for an improved
alignment between the features offered by the learning process and those used and desired by the
campus community.

Main Features and Functionalities


Sharing of materials from teacher to students. i.e. after each class the teacher shall
sent the material he/she uses to the students and additional helpful materials
Giving, submission and grading of assignments via the portal.
Students shall download materials at anytime.
Students can download assignments and submit their work
Students shall have a limited storage called backpack
Messaging between students and instructors
Posting of events from the top management of the university to instructors
Calendars and schedule for the whole school and all academic staff members and
teachers
Announcements from teachers to whole class or departments to all students
Notification for all users, for e.g. a new material has been added to the class, a
student submits his work.
Subject overviews
Students shall see their progress
Sharing of teaching materials between instructors
Discussion Forums for students

The project has partially built, but there are many problems during the development, as
it is developed in php core language without any frameworks, it wont handle many errors, hard
to fix bugs, which will also be slow and not capable of handling many users, as a result of this for
as a final project we thought we can change the architecture of the whole project by building it
in Spring MVC framework of java EE. The system should also be integrable with any Student
Information System, so there will be a building of an Integration APIs, we want to include many
features to the project as possible by identifying, the plan is the students will be able perform
any task in the campus community via the portal. And finally create a mobile version of the portal.
