STEP1.WorksystematicallythroughthelessonforeachIELTSsubtestwithitsdetailed
descriptions,extensiveQ/A,andsecretsofimpressinganassessorandraisingyourscore.
Asyoureadthrougheachlessonchaptercarefully,noteanyinformation,strategies,tipsor
advicethatarenewtoyou.Underlineorhighlighttheonesthatapplytoyou.
STEP2.Afterfinishingthelessonforeveryskill(Listening,Reading,Writing,Speaking),
workthroughitsfitnessactivitiesandthencheckyouranswers.
Analyseanyincorrectanswers,andtrytounderstandwhyyouwerewrong,andwhythe
answerinthebookiscorrect.UNDERSTANDINGtasksandmistakesiscentralto
improvement.

Youshouldworkthroughthetestunderstricttestconditionsandinthecorrectorder
(L>R>W>S)observingcorrecttimingsforeachsubtest.Putintopracticeasmanyrelevant
techniquesandinsightsaspossiblefromeachofthefourskillschaptersyouhave
systematicallyworkedthrough.
Whenyouhavecompletedthefulltest,youcancheckyouranswers.FortheWritingand
Speakingtestyoullneedeithertoselfassessbyratingyourlevelincomparisonwiththosein
ourWritingandSpeakingResourcesections,oraskateachertogiveyouarating.
STEP4.Analyseyourtestperformanceandretestlater.
Avital,finalstageinourSUCCESSFORMULAistoanalyseandevaluateyourexittest
performancecarefullyineachofthefoursubtestsandtowritebriefnotesonwhatyouwere
goodat,notsogoodat,andwhattoimprove.UNDERSTANDINGyourperformancedeeply
ISMUCHBETTERTHANJUSTDOINGone,newtestafteranother.
Afteraweek,retaketheexittest,andcarefullyreanalyseyourperformance.
