Common Base Amplifier
OBJECT:
To construct a small signal Common Base Amplifier and analyze
the DC Parameters. (Simulation)
APPARATUS:
DC Power Supply. Bread Board.
Multimeter. Jumper Wires.
Resistors. Transistor NPN.
THEORY:
The Common Base Amplifier provides high voltage gain with
maximum current gain of 1. The base is common terminal and is
at AC ground because of Capacitor. The input signal is coupled
through capacitor to emitter. The output is coupled from
collector to load resistor through capacitor.
EXPERIMENT:
Construct the circuit on breadboard according to the given
circuit diagram.
Measure the DC Parameters for the CB Amplifier.
Compare the values observed with the calculated values.
PRECAUTIONS:
Check connections properly before applying Power supply.
Take care about polarities of Power Supply and Multimeter.
Set power supply to appropriate voltage before taking any
reading.
