I. OBJECTIVES

Along the course of the 48-minute activity, the students should be expected to:
 recall their knowledge about the previous discussions;
 exhibit silence and well-mannered behavior while copying the notes given; and,
 finish writing all the notes written on the board.

II. SUBJECT MATTER

 Topic: “Active and Passive Voice, English Collocation, Verb Tenses, and Transitional Words”
 Reference: “Introduction to English Grammar” by Betty Azar
 Time Allotment: 48 minutes
 Instructional Materials: Manila Paper, Pentel Pen

III. PROCEDURE

A. Daily Routine
 Prayer
 Attendance
 Quick Clean-up
 Vocabulary of the Day

B. Motivation
 The students will be greeted by the teacher and will be asked if they have taken their breakfast or snacks
 The students will be asked to recall the previous discussions.
 The teacher will regulate the noise and let the students arrange the chair properly.
 The teacher will check the readiness of the students

C. PRESENTATION
 The teacher will post the notes on the board using Manila Paper.
 The students will be asked to get their English notebook and copy the writings on the board within 25
minutes.
 The teacher will further discuss to the students everything they have copied.
 The teacher will ask the students what they have not understood from the topic.

D. ANALYSIS
The students will be asked by the teacher about the following questions:

 How would you convert an active voice to passive voice?


 Why do you think it is necessary to pay consideration with pronouns in converting active into passive
voice?
 How does a simple past tense differ with past perfect tense?
 Is it possible for a noun to modify another noun? Explain your answer.
 Which among the topics we have discussed so far you find most difficult?

E. ABSTRACTION
 The students will be asked to give a summary of everything that has been reviewed by the teacher
 The teacher will give the students the opportunity to share the importance of the lesson in relation to
their real life as a student.

IV. ASSESSMENT
 The students will be assessed formatively through their oral interaction with the teacher.

V. ASSIGNMENT

 The students will be required to study in advance their notes for the upcoming examination.
