Approximate value for the adjusting of Forming Roller Beams


In the following drawing you can find the approximate geometry for the proper adjustment of the lower
forming roller beams.
The bending Length L is always devided to L1 and L2 in relation to the pipe diameter, strip width, wall
thickness and steel grade to be formed in:

L = ~(2/5 L) + = ~(3/5 L)

A+B = distance between lower Forming Roller Beams


A = distance of Roller Beam front to the edge of Roller Beam Base
B = distance of Roller Beam rear to the edge of Roller Beam Base
C = distance of Roller Beam rear to flange of Forming Roller (Hight Adjustement)

The angles a° and b° of the forming rollers always have to adjusted in direction to the centreline of the pipe
to be formed.

All actual, machine specific adjustments should be noted down into the table in order to readjust the forming
system if already produced pipe diameters are formed again.
