A pen is certainly an excellent instrument to fix man’s attention and inflame his ambition.

We all know that pen is physically a writing instrument which scribbles ink onto surfaces to
produce a shape, word or letter but for many, pen is a very powerful instrument. From my
understanding, this quotes simply tells us how a single pen can make us become more committed
and passionate to our goals and ideas, because a single pen and a reasonable amount of words
could change a journey from a mere annual into a perennial achievement. For me, it is an
instrument that can help someone express his/her deepest feelings and ambition. Take Dr.Jose
Rizal as an example, with the use of a single pen he turned his ideas into weapons that gave us
freedom, with the use of a single pen he showed what it means to be free, and no matter how
many times he failed, no matter how many times he reached the end of his destination, he did
not stop moving forward. All of this were possible because of a single pen that inflamed his
ambition to give and make a better life for every filipino. A pen is not just a tool, it’s a gift. A
gift that can fuels a person ‘dream and a gift that enables someone to reach greater heights, to be
something. Because in every world, in every time, some polished their teeth, while most polished
their ideas with pens. Maybe there’s only a dark road up ahead. But still you have to believe and
keep going. Believe that a pen will light your path, even a little bit.
