PANDANGGO OASIWAS
The Pantomina Oasiwas is similar to the Light,

celebrate a good catch. In this version, the lamps
are placed in cloths or nets and swung around
while the dancers nagbibilog and sway.
POLKABAL
The Polkabal displays some European impact in
its steps. The dance consists of nine different
steps along the various movements like
fluttering, stepping heel – to -toe, a copy of a
bull fight, and even a slow walk.
LA JOTA MONCADENIA
La Jota Moncadeña was adapted from an old
Spanish dance. It is a combination of Spanish
and Ilocano dance set to Spanish music and
castanets. A more solemn version of the dance
is sometimes used to accompany a funeral
procession, but it was also performed at the

KURATSA
The Kuratsa is described as a courtship dance
and often performed at weddings and other
social occasions. The dance has three parts. The

man pursues the woman around the dance floor

even faster as the man who wins over the

SINGKIL
The Singkil dance is traditionally performed by
single women to attract the attention of potential
suitors. The dancers will perform a series of
graceful movements as you step out from them
and in between the bamboo poles rhythmically
applaud together. Fans and scarves are often
used to enhance the movements of the dancers.
