What three qualities best describe you and why?
Three best qualities that describe me is social,independent,helpful.
I'm a very social person because when I was younger I was really shy and scared to embrace my
talkative skills to another person because I wasn't sure if they would not wanna communicate back. It
benefits me now because I help others with personal problems and try to make them comfortable to the
new environment, such as school when me students attend. When I was younger I was really in need of
help to complete my tasks. As I got older I was offered more help but I declined it because as I grow I
don't wanna rely on something or someone who isn't gonna be there sometime in my lifetime. It's be
because I wanna be prepared when time comes and gives me opportunities. Helpful is my last
characteristics because it makes me feel like a good person when I help someone with their issues but
also puts a happy vibe in our environment.

Are you from a historically disadvantaged background (i.e. low income for several years, first-generation
college student, inner-city or migrant family, etc.)? If so, explain how.
As a my mother was unemployed and receiving money from the government paying rent with that living in
a 2 bedroom house with 3 kids and single mother. My father was deported during that time but he was
making below average.
What obstacles have you faced in your pursuit of academic excellence, and how did you overcome those
obstacles? Do you think they affect your performance in college?
Anger issues would probably distract me from my academics because it would have me focus on
someone else trying to focus on my studies. But I've overcome those obstacles with my therapist and
physiologist. So now I've become more controllable with my emotions.
What accomplishment, talent, experience etc. are you most proud of and why?
I'm proud of my skills in basketball and socializing because I improved my talents in many ways such like
talking to others and practicing basketball. But my socializing skills improved when I was talking to every
students in my class.
How have you exhibited leadership?
I've always motivated younger human beings about school because most of the kids in our generation
have no motivation to do school work or teach successful. So I took action by starting to tell students to
take my advice seriously. I've been through bad times in high school, where at times I didn't wanna do
anything. So I try my best to tell the students because I want the best for them.
What are your strengths?
My strengths are focusing on my studies and ignoring negative energy coming from someone else. I
gained my strength in studies for ignoring the people disrupting me. I ignore every negative language
being used against me, because I don't wanna start any issues with anybody.
What are you trying to improve about yourself?
my academics because I feel like if I had nothing in my way such like a girlfriend or distractions I would've
gone to a better college. There's no one to blame but ourselves by letting things get into our heads.
List your hobbies.
My hobbies are hanging out with my friends and playing basketball. As a kid I grew up with no friends so
now I take advantage and try to have as much fun with them and enjoy life. Basketball was a major
impact in my life because it would just take my mind off things and focus on myself and get rid of my
negative thoughts.

I'm proud of me mainly controlling my emotions because I was terrible controlling them when I was a
young boy having no one to help him. But it's hard till this day when you don't have the people that gave

you light instead of other family members. So I can honestly give myself a round of applause because I
overcome many of my fears and life crisis. Those things just making me into a stronger human being.
