- The children will be able to learn how to write a letter (Yy).

- The children will be able to learn how to find the letter (Yy) between others letter.

- The children will know and learn the words that start by letter (Yy).

Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing

On 13Of February, I was teaching a lesson about a letter (Y) for KG1-A fronts my MST, MS. Wafa

Mohammed. Through that lesson, I taught the students how to write a letter (Y), how to compare between

capital and lower case (Y y). Furthermore, they knew the words start by letter (Y), each student wrote a

letter (Y) on the paper, showed them flash cards contain the pictures and the names of the pictures even

the students know the words start by letter (Y).

Who is the lesson for?

About letter (Y).

Where did the lesson take place?

In the classroom (KG1-A).

What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?

By explaining the lesson, I achieved the goals that I wanted to achieve it. Such as eye contact, develop my

language, time management and control about their behavior.

What did the students do?

I noticed the students were very happy and motivated in the classroom because I used activities which

excited the students. For example, the high level, I gave them a worksheet. They must to color the letter

(Y). Average level, I gave them a worksheet. They were sticking facial features on it, but the low level,

gave them book. They should to trace the letter (Y).I did extra activity for the students who finished

quickly to not feeling bored. The extra activity was about (play dough) they created a letter (Y).

Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?

I noticed the students the students were very active because the students in these ages like to coloring, like

to play with play dough and like to find.


How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?

At the end of the lesson, I put on floor many pictures on floor. Then, they will collect the words that

start by letter (Yy). So, through that, I will make sure there are understand the lesson.

How well did you engage the students?

I let the student sing ABCD song before we start the lesson to motivate them.

Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?

Yes, by explaining the lesson, I achieved the goals that I wanted to achieve it. For instance, delivered

information to children in a fast and enjoyable way. For example, using the activities that based on their

levels by used the colors and play dough. Also, taught the students how to write and how to read.

Furthermore, taught them how to find and thinking.

Transform (T):

How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?

So, to enhance letter (Y) more in the student's minds. In the end, give the whole class chance to write the

number at the same time by using small whiteboards to I make sure the students learned how to write a

letter (Y).
What are the implications for your professional practice?

- I learned how to control about the students behavior.

- Eye contact.

- I learned how to create the activities that based on students levels.
