November 1st, 2017: "Where Are We?"

This document outlines topics and questions to guide professional learning communities (PLCs) at Kenansville Elementary. It discusses the three big ideas and three essential characteristics of effective PLCs. Teachers are asked to reflect on student proficiency data from beginning-of-year assessments and the previous year's end-of-grade tests. They are also prompted to describe how intervention periods will be used to support instruction through accelerated, intervention, and intensive programs using resources like Frontrow, NC Ready, and Khan Academy. Action items provide deadlines for submitting PLC forms, intervention group names, and common assessment data.
