How to Convert INCHES into METERS

1) Determine how tall you are in inches (1 foot = 12 inches)

Example: Mademoiselle is 5’4” tall

Step 1: Multiply the number of feet by 12 to convert it into inches

5 x 12 = 60

Step 2: Determine how many inches are leftover

5’4” --- Four inches leftover

Step 3: Total your first number and the remaining inches

60 + 4 = 64

Mademoiselle is 64 inches tall!

2) Follow this formula to convert your TOTAL number of inches into meters (1
inch = 0.0254 meters)

Height in meters = (# of inches) x 0.0254

Example: Height in meters = (64 inches) x 0.0254

64 x 0.0254 = 1.6256
3) Round to two decimal places for your final answer
1.6256
5 makes us round up → 1.63 meters TOTAL!
