Integra Phase 1 EDW Build
Project Description: Integra has a small IT division responsible for existing Data
Warehouse and Business Intelligence applications and to meet analytic need they end
up creating many database systems interlinked and dependent with each other that
makes it difficult for new enhancements and increases overall build time.
They don’t have an architecture in place and can no more maintain such a complex
system.
Integra has 19 source system to be to be integrated into an EDW as a single source of
truth for any BI or Analytic requirements.
In first phase history migration from existing system to new EDW along with report
reconciliation to build confidence of new EDW.
In Second phase would be a regular batch load source system to new EDW and Data
marts.
Finally, OLD systems will be decommissioned on post data validation.
Position: DataStgae Developer
Contribution: • Involved in Design and Development of DataStage jobs.
• Developed parallel jobs to extract data from source thereafter applied necessary
Transformation Logic's and inserted the data into the target .

• ETL Process Flow and Loading Strategy at each data layers Files/Table --> STG -->
CRF --> EDW -->DM .
• Created Generic CDC job design templates for SCD Type 1 and SCD Type 2.
• Loaded data into CRF and EDW by using Type 1 and Type 2 methods.
• Reviewed ETL Detailed Design, ETL Build and Validate the UT and SIT test results.
• Performed unit Test case execution on the jobs and defect fixing.
• Coordinated with SIT team to analyze and fix the defect.
