LESSON PLAN FORMAT
Name: Jaime Sichmeller
Grade Level: 4th Grade
School: Fred Assam Elementary
Date: 3/14/18
Time: 2:00-2:50
Reflection from prior lesson:
The students worked well for the first 10-15 minutes. However, after about 15 minutes the
students began to talk more than they were working. Most students were unable to get most of
the packet done. I explained to the students that we only have two class periods to work on this
and then they are responsible for completing their project by the due date during their own time.
I also explained if they needed more time, they would need to take responsibility and come see
me.
Lesson Goal(s) / Standards:
K-12. G.2 STUDENTS WILL UNDERSTAND THE NATURE AND
IMPORTANCE OF THE FIVE THEMES OF GEOGRAPHY: LOCATION, PLACE CHARACTERISTICS, HUMAN-
ENVIRONMENT INTERACTION, MOVEMENTS, AND REGION.
Lesson Objectives: Students will use the information from the packets to complete a project that
they choose off of a list provided.
Materials Needed: Laptops, poster paper, states packet, writing utensils, coloring utensils.
Contextual Factors/ Learner Characteristics: Students are a very active class, lots of movement
