Dear Human Resources Professional:

I am writing in response to an announcement recently posted on the Massachusetts General


Hospital career opportunities web site for new nursing graduates. I am currently a student nurse
graduating in May 2018 from the University of South Florida College of Nursing. I am expecting
to take my NCLEX examination in June 2018.

My clinical rotations have given me the opportunity to work in several settings, including
medical-surgical, critical care, and emergency. My experience has equipped me with the
necessary skills to fully engage the challenges of the nursing profession and provide the utmost
in patient care. I have completed my clinical practicum in the medical cardiology unit at
Lakeland Regional Medical Center and am confident that I will continue to progress as a nurse.

In addition to my nursing skills, I have also developed my leadership skills. As a Lifeguard


Supervisor and Lifeguard Instructor, I manage a team of over two hundred lifeguards as well as
spearhead all training of incoming staff in lifeguarding, CPR/AED/First Aid, and standard
operating procedures.

I am highly interested in beginning my nursing career at Massachusetts General Hospital and


believe that my skills and experience would be of asset to your organization. It would be an
absolute pleasure to discuss this opportunity with you.
