From Celebrity To Politican

The document discusses the phenomenon of celebrities entering politics and becoming politicians. It presents four arguments: 1) Celebrities can use their fame and popularity to gain public sympathy which helps them in elections. 2) However, some doubt celebrities' political knowledge and competence to lead as they may lack understanding. 3) Celebrities don't have enough experience in politics, so their impact may only be temporary excitement rather than affecting voters. 4) An artist's lifestyle of luxury does not suit a leader who should prioritize citizens' interests. The recommendation is that voters should not be easily swayed by celebrity and instead consider a candidate's vision, integrity and political experience.

From Celebrity to Politican

Thesis:

Many celebrities are active in political world and they even become a politician.

Argument 1

a lot of celebrity use their popularity to get sympathy of the society for example in West
Java gubernatorial election there are three artists who participated in the election that Dede
Yusuf, Deddy Mizwar, and Rieke Diah Pitaloka. Artists who will compete in the arena of
elections is not too difficult to campaign to introduce or promote themselves, because they
already have the fame as they often appear in the media. This is a very large capital in gaining
public sympathy. Because as we all know that people in choosing future leaders contesting the
election first see her/he popularity before the vision, mission and integrity possessed by
prospective leaders. Can’t be denied that one's fame or fame is a huge capital in improving the
image of himself and his political party's image

Argument 2

Many Indonesian people to doubt to their knowledge and competence. Jusuf Kalla, one
of those who doubted the artist, saying "the situation forces people to just pick because of its
popularity."
political observer UI, Arbi Sanit said that the most advanced artists in the election, but lacking in
political understanding. they could have won the election but can’t lead "Could win but could
not lead it is the same cheats. Do not let the artist was just deceiving the people with the
popularity, "he said. For me, every person has the right to engage in politics. Our Constitution
also recognizes the right of every citizen, including celebrities, to elect and be elected to any
political office. But, for me, the issue is primarily about how to order or use power in order to
serve the people. In many cases, the issue of experience and the capacity to become an
important factor in managing power.

Argument 3

They don’t have enough experience in the political world that the artist would not ultimately
affect any voter except momentary excitement during the campaign, as well as the arena show
of force each candidate about the financial strength and advantages in bringing as many artists
who support them. they don’t have enough experience in the political world that the artist
would not ultimately affect any voter except momentary excitement during the campaign, as
well as the arena show of force each candidate about the financial strength and advantages in
bringing as many artists who support them.

Argument 4
artist's life synonymous with glitz and glamor, and how they can be leaders if they themselves
are not able to leave the luxury of itself. It is proper that it should be simple leader they should
be more concerned with the interests of the people rather than themselves.

Recomendation

People should not be easily fooled by the notoriety or fame a person, because it's not
necessarily determine one's ability in politics let alone someone does not have a basic or basic
experience in the political world. But we also have to look at what is inside the vision and a
clear mission, strong integrity, trust, and good morals.
