Justification: It is important for our hospital to have an automated blood culture system for detection of
blood-borne pathogens is one of the most important functions of the microbiology laboratory and most of
our Doctors request for blood culture testing to diagnose blood stream infections and to positively treat
the patient. Cultures in the blood are the indicator of bacteria and fungi responsible for bacteraemia,
sepsis and other microbial infections which can lead to a serious infection to our patients. Without this
automated machine we know that culturing a specimen needs a very long patience because it require a
long time for days or months for the microorganism to grow and in order to identify the specific
microorganism, also it affects the turnaround time which causes for the patient to wait for too long. That is
