About Biorobotics

Bio-robotics is a research field that uses mechatronics systems to better understand complex living organisms through biomimicry. It is an interdisciplinary area that combines cybernetics, bionics, and genetic engineering. Some applications of bio-robotics include developing robots that can scale walls like insects through biomimicry, creating robots with artificial neurons and ganglions instead of microchips, and developing synthetic organisms made of living tissue and cells.

BIOROBOTICS

Thanks to the evolution of advanced techniques on computer

science, different kind of biological models have been proposed for
understanding better how biological systems can display complex
behaviors.

“Bio-robotics” can be defined as a research field which involves any

use of mechatronics systems to understand better complex living
organisms. A collective study of Cybernetics, Bionics and Genetic
Engineering called Bio-robotics.

We expect such interaction may contribute for the development of

better mechatronic systems with improved characteristics that can only
be conceived from a multidisciplinary approach.

The most obvious aspect of Bio-robotics is bio-mimicry. It is the

examination of nature, its models, systems, processes, and elements to
take inspiration in order to design engineering systems or man-made
devices.

There are several applications of Bio-robotics: Tactical Military use,

For Disabled People, Make advancements in the fields of Biology,
Engineering, Computer Sciences, and many other scientific fields.

A new bio-inspired climbing robot designed to scale smooth vertical

surfaces has been presented.

Currently BCI or Brain Computer Interface allows the use of

computers by the physically handicap by taking signals directly from the
brain.

The creation of life from non-living matter for example, would be

bio robotics. The field is in its infancy and is sometimes known as
synthetic biology or bio nanotechnology.

A biological brain, grown from cultured neurons which were

originally separated, has been developed as the neurological entity. The
brain receives input from sensors on the robot body and the resultant
output from the brain provides the robot's only motor signals. The
biological brain is the only brain of the robot.

Now synthetic organisms of living tissue & cells yet created

artificially. Instead of microchips we are using ganglions/artificial
neurons for the brain of robots. Now we can create such robots which
perform a particular task with their own intelligence.

Bio robots are those robots which are created with the involvement
of living tissue, organ etc. Bio robots can over come the situation of
Handling problems, situation according to their skills & understanding
which is not possible in the case of artificial robots.

mimicking Bio Robot, Water bio Robots, Medical Bio Robot are the types
of Bio-Robots
