CHAPTER 3: METHODOLOGY

3.0 Introduction
This chapter present about the process that include to obtain all of the project objective.

Start

Step 1: Literature Review

 Transformer oil
Understanding the power transformer function in detail. Then, find the important of transformer
oil that required to maintain the operation of power transformer. Reading more journal that study
about the transformer oil. State all of the problem occur in transformer oil and find the way to
solve the problem. In this project, the main problem is insulating oil that have their weakness from
some aspect like environmental friendly. From the problem statement, set the objective and try
to achieve it. The main objective is to find the insulating oil that have high quality.

Step 2: Data Collection

 Palm oil
Read more journal about the transformers oil. Take note all of the important that useful for this
project like physical and chemical properties of the transformer oil. Compare the properties of the
insulating oil that already used in this industrial with any oil. Choose the best oil that suitable for
insulating oil in power transformer and state all of the reason. Find the types of oil that want to
test in the market. In this project, the palm oil have been selected. Search the place and the
equipment that can complete all of the palm oil testing.

Step 3: Analysis

 Result
Collect all of the data result from the researcher before. Make analysis from the data. Prepare all
of the equipment for testing process. Finally, set the expected result. The expected result is the
outcome from the past investigation.
