Women
http://www.satyaloka.net/india-ttc-for-women/
26th March – 24rd April 2017, Rishikesh, India
This is an authentic teacher training for women to learn how to teach Hatha with Tantric
Vinyasa, you will also study Pranayama & Traditional Tantric practices of India. This course is
internationally certified by Yoga Alliance as a 200hour training and will be attended for 4 days
by an Indian Tantric Master who will introduce you to sacred fire ceremonies and the creation of
a living Yantra to support the study of Indian classical dance which will be taught by his wife.
As a way of bringing us more into the heart, we will regularly share devotional singing, women’s
sacred dance, Hridaya meditation and the worship of the great Mother Ganga river. This course
is for those women who are looking for an authentic Yogini Sadhana immersion.
Our location is the beautiful Osho Gangadham retreat centre, 4 km out of Laxshman Jhula,
situated by the Ganga, the forests and the foothills of the Himalayas.
This course is taught by the Lead Trainer Radasi with Sophia La Pastina. Also joining us is guest
teacher Dr. Prateek Mishrapuri, a local renowned Vedic astrologer.
Our Women’s only Yoga teacher training course creates a unique experience to explore the
beauty of the unfolding divine feminine within us in the original home of yoga, Rishikesh, India.
During this training you will learn how to practice and teach Hatha Yoga with Tantric Vinyasa.
This style suits many students as it is a yin and yang style of practice. As well as there being a
dynamic purifying vinyasa aspect, we also hold asanas for longer periods to experience a deeper
energetic activation and opening of the body.
The theory aspect of the course includes anatomy and Yogic philosophy and also many beautiful
subjects such as sacred sexuality, yoga for children, women’s holistic health and creating sacred
space. We also explore together ancient Hindu texts of the Goddess from the Devi Gita, the epic
Bhagavad Gita and we also study the Ribhu Gita which is an ancient scripture related to Shiva.
The sacred texts are integrated throughout the course.
Another unique aspect to this course is the Traditional Tantric practices that are offered to
support you in your own spiritual development. This includes creating living Yantras (sacred
mandalas), and by chanting a specific Mantra in the presence of the Yantra we authentically
practice Tantra. Another important aspect of the Tantric tradition is the use of fire ceremony, this
will be a integral part of the course. We also have the rare opportunity to externally apply
Ayurvedic herbs whilst meditating for the deep cleansing of the nadis and chakras.
On this particular training Dipti Baswar will be bringing a very special introduction into Indian
classical Dance Dipti is trained in Bharatnatyam classical dance and is a direct disciple and wife
of Guruji Raj Kumar Baswar. Her teaching combines the wisdom of Tantra with Indian classical
dance to offer a dance of evolution. Dipti shares the esoteric history of this dance with a
knowledge that has much been lost. In this 4 day sadhana she teaches alongside Guruji
combining Mantra, Yantra and Yagna with mudras, kriyas and dance practices so that the dance
becomes a truly divine feminine practice.
This unique training also offers Hridaya Meditation practices, Kriyas, Pranayama, Kirtan,
Sacred Dance & Womens’s ritual.
As the course unfolds we study the Ten Great Wisdom Goddesses (The Das Maha Vidyas) from
the Tantric tradition. We explore these aspects of the divine feminine in a very practical way
through devotional singing, discussions, meditations and even in some of the Yoga classes.
Yogini Tantrika also offers a special dance called the Dance of the Maha Vidyas, which is
reviewed to be a transformational session of dance.

leading from a powerful feminine place.”

Hatha Yoga with Tantric Vinyasa
This style is a way of opening the physical body towards greater flexibility and also opening the
energetic flows of energy. These include the energy we receive from the earth and the cosmos,
and also the arousal of the chakra system that governs and determines our physical, emotional
and mental health. By understanding our body from this Tantric perspective we can learn how to
develop and maintain good health and an overall awareness of spiritual well being. When we
combine Vinyasa movements with the asana we naturally counter balance any intense stretch
that the body may experience and therefore reduce the risk of injury for ourselves and students.
The Vinyasa practice helps to flush the body between the asanas of any toxins that have been
released through the postures bringing an overall gentle and deepening purification. Using
Vinyasa is a choice and some classes can be taught only with the practice of asana therefore
bringing a less dynamic flow, this allows the teacher to be in the moment and feel what students
need at that particular time.
Alignment
The practice of yoga asana brings profound and innumerable benefits to the physical body
however the ultimate aim of all the asanas is to help us sit comfortably in meditation. Each day
of the course we will enjoy the opportunity to practice and study asana with this goal in mind;
and as we move through the postures we can naturally feel the quietening of the mind and deeper
states of peace arise. We will learn how to move our own body in a way that is safe and healthy
for the joints, soft tissues and bones and will experience how this strengthens and creates more
space and openness within the body and energy system. Once we understand this in our own
being we are then able to truly support our students’ alignment and yoga practice. This class will
also look at the energetic flow within the asanas and how to maximise and stabilize this.
Traditional Tantric Practices
Tantra is a spiritual path that embraces life in order to awaken consciousness. Within Tantra
Yoga various techniques including the use of mantra, yantra, ritual and meditation are used to
purify and energise our being bringing a deeper awareness of our spiritual existence. Tantra
cultivates a devotional approach to the practice, emphasizing the worship of the Goddess, Shakti
and her consort Shiva. As we go deeper into the practice we ultimately experience the divine
union of these masculine and feminine attributes. Mantra is given and can be practiced each day
in the presence of various Yantras (mandalas) which will be created during the course.
Bhakti Fire Puja
Bhakti Fire Puja is a combination of a Tantric and shamanic fire ceremony. It is a beautiful
ceremony of devotion that combines elements of a Tantric Fire Puja with a spontaneous flow of
bhajans and prayer. Traditional Vedic mantras are used that elevate consciousness and bring a
deep communion with inner most truth.
Pranayama
Pranayama can be translated as the expansion and increasing of our vital life force. We absorb
Prana (life force) most directly through the breath and through our food. In the pranayama
exercises of Hatha Yoga we make use of this by manipulating the breath – breathing into
different areas of the body, using specific rhythms and movements. We learn to hold the breath
in to energise our system and to increase our capacity to store Prana; we hold the breath out to
direct the energy in the subtle body with the ultimate aim of purifying both body and mind.
The rhythmic breathing exercises of the Hatha Yoga tradition are strong practices which bring
profound benefits: they purify the nadis (energy channels) of both the physical and subtle
anatomy releasing blockages and stress and helping us feel a greater sense of balance and
steadiness. Pranayama is an important step on the journey of yoga as it helps expand the
individual personal energy into universal energy.
Cleansing Kriyas & Purification
We will teach ancient yogic practices used to promote a healthy body and energetic system such
as nauli kriya for intestinal support and neti for clearing the sinus passages. Furthermore we will
offer detoxifying practices such as oil pulling, salt rubbing and tongue scraping for healthy gums
as well as other tips and techniques.
Hridaya Meditation
During the course we practice Hridaya Meditation, a technique which focuses continually upon
the Spiritual Heart as a way to reveal deep inner peace and the natural joy that emanates from our
natural state. The teachings are a beautiful unity of Advaita Vedanta, Sufism, Buddhism and
Kashmir Shaivism. Central to the practice is the self-enquiry, ‘Who am I?’ and continually
bringing the awareness back to the spiritual heart, which can be sensed by focusing at the centre
of the chest near the physical heart. We will also have the opportunity to experience Hridaya
Hatha Yoga where we aim to remain present and witness our asana practice from beyond the
mind, from the stillness that lies at the core of who we really are.
Kirtan
Kirtan is an ancient form of Bhakti Yoga, the Yoga of devotion. When we chant Kirtan we use
special mantras. Mantras are words, phrases, and syllables that are repeated until they become
integrated into our consciousness. Many people are discovering this sacred, traditional practice
allowing them to access a greater opening of the heart, deep inner peace and connection. When
we give ourselves permission to sing and dance freely, releasing and expressing through our
voices and bodies, the emotions which are tightly locked in our hearts become free. This takes
the practitioner into a blissful state of openness and love and it is in that moment that we
remember Kirtan is an offering, a gift to the Divine who has given us everything, and to whom
we can give nothing in return but our loving remembrance, our voices and our hearts.
Mantra
A mantra is the sound form a particular energy; specific sounds, words or phrases are
repeated. By practising the repetition of mantra either by verblising the sound internally or
externally we commune with and invoke the beneficial energies specific to the mantra. Mantra is
an important tool used in many spiritual practices and can even be combined with the practice of
yoga asana.
Yantra
The yantra is a geometric, design which can be focused upon as a tool for meditation. The
different geometric patterns symbolically represent different aspects of divinity. On this teacher
training we will create and meditate with a yantra for Shiva made from sprouting wheat grass,,
and later we will create three coloured rice yantras of Saraswati {goddess of arts, music and
education}, Parvati {Shiva’s wife}, Suriya {the sun}.
Tantric Fire Yagna
A Fire Yagna is a sacred fire ceremony. Offerings of ghee (clarified butter) are thrown on to the
fire whilst reciting mantras to honour aspects such as the cardinal directions and particular
energies of the Hindu and Yogic traditions that support the success of the ceremony. Special
herbs or rice, sugar and sesame seeds are further offered to the fire with a specific mantra
depending upon one’s personal sadhana or the group intention.
Fire Yagna is a highly purifying spiritual practice that enables us to commune with different
energies of Shakti or Shiva, energies that raise our awareness and consciousness.
Group Activities & Meditations
Group activities are an opportunity to deepen the inter relating of the group. As teachers it is also
useful to learn various ways to hold space other than a standard Yoga class.
These sessions share group meditations and activities such as
Daily Ganga Rituals
Sacred Dance
Kirtan/Bhajans

Shamanic Prayer Fire
These ceremonies involve honouring the directional forces and the elements and using specific
opening and closing prayers. During the Fire devotional songs are shared and prayers of release
or intention are offered, these are amplified by offerings of sacred herbs such as copal, cedar,
tobacco thrown onto the fire.
Tantric Fire Ceremony
These ceremonies are opened with offerings to all the directional powers of the three natural
forces of the universe which are known in the tradition as the three Gunas: Sattva, Rajas and
Tamas. Following initial ghee offerings, the Fire ceremony then takes place for a specified
amount of time repeating a particular Mantra and making offerings of rice, sesame and sugar or
specially selected herbs.
Bhakti Fire Puja
These ceremonies are devotional Fire Pujas that honour the various apects of the manifest and
unmanifest world through the repetition of Vedic Mantras and the singing of devotional
songs. Offerings of rice, sesame and sugar are offered to the Fire in the process and many
traditional Vedic Mantras such as the Gayatri mantra are recited to pray for ourselves and all
sentient beings.

64 Yogini Mantras
For the absolving of sins, clarity of consciousness, a peaceful heart, massive protection, dynamic
aura, robust health, and the magnificent grace of abundance of every type, one should chant the
sacred names of the sixty-four Yoginis. We should never minimize their potential. They are not
minor deities. They are none other than emanations of the one cosmic Prakriti residing over
every aspect of the relative plane. They can pull a soul from the lowest depths of illusion into the
most elevated heights of grace- light.
To perform this puja, simply prepare a copper yantra with sixty-four petals and chant the
following mantras with an open heart. If copper is not available, draw the yantra with India ink
using Bhoj Patra. The daily repetition of these mantras with purify all darkness, jealousy and
resentment within. Seek out direct spiritual guidance from a soul animated by the Divine. As the
Siddha Rama Devar said, “Surrender to the young Shakti, and she will not forget you for the rest
of your life.”
