Answer the trivia question below.

Who is one of the first to give a formula for solving quadratic equation? He
is also an Indian mathematician, Sanskrit pandit and philosopher.

To answer the trivia question, determine the solutions of the given quadratic
equations. Then, write the letter of the quadratic equation above the equivalent of
x.

-10, 25 -8, -7 12, -4 11 3, -9 -4, -2 -8, -7 -4, -2

J. x2 – 7x + 12 = 0 K. x2 + 14x + 49 = 0
x=4;x=3 x = -7

I. x2 – 8x = 48 R. x2 + 15x + 56 = 0
x = 12 ; x = -4 x = -8 ; x = -7

V. x2 + 13x + 30 = 0 M. x2 + 8x + 16 = 0
x = -3 ; x = -10 x = -4

D. x2 – 22x + 121 = 0 B. x2 – 20x + 100 = 0

x = 11 x = 10

H. x2 + 6x = 27 T. x2 + 2x – 24 = 0
x = 3 ; x = -9 x = -6 ; x = 4

A. x4 + 6x + 8 = 0 S. x2 + 10x + 25 =0
Let x2 = m r1 + r2 = -10
m = -4 ; m = -2 r1 . r2 = 25
