The issue of review of prescribed educational qualification for direct recruitment to
supervisory post of Junior Engineer in Pay Band-2 of ~9300-34800 having Grade Pay of
~4200 and Senior Section Engineer in Pay Band-2 of ~9300-34800 having Grade Pay of
~4600 Civil Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, S&T and Track Machine Organization
(TMO) Departments on the Railways has been under consideration of this Ministry.
2. After detailed deliberations with the concerned Technical Directorates, it has been
decided by the Board that henceforth direct recruitment qualification for the following posts
on the Railways will be as under.-
